- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I'm sorry, but Dr. Hakeman has an attitude problem. I just moved to Bellingham, and need to find all new doctors (it sucks!) I only saw her once, and spoke to her on the phone once, but that was all it took for me to decide I need to keep searching for a psychiatrist who will actually listen to me. She may be a doctor, but she does not live in my body. After meeting me for only an hour, she wanted to make modifications to my medications, ones that had done me well for YEARS. After I voiced this concern, she basically acted like I was the sick one and she was the one with the degree. Well, turns out I had a bad reaction to the medication, and called her to say I wasn't ok with it and would be discontinuing. I've worked too hard on myself for the past few years to go through the hell of finding a medication that "works"- when I already have meds that work! I just needed medication management, not a full re-diagnosis (in one hour). If you'd like to be judged and talked down to, this is the perfect person to see.
